Here’s some handy information for families and individuals about hours, admissions, directions and public transportation to make planning a visit to the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace a breeze.

Families and individuals do not need a reservation. Our goal is to make your trip to the Birthplace as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to your visit!
Admissions
The ticket sales desk is located at the street level entrance of the Birthplace on Oglethorpe Avenue. Guided tours for families and individual guests are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours begin approximately every 15 minutes, depending on the number of reserved tours. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.
Directions
By Airplane
Savannah International Airport is approximately 20 miles from the Birthplace. Transportation is available by taxi or limousine.
By Train
The Savannah train station is approximately 10 miles away in a remote area. Transportation to the Birthplace must be pre-arranged by taxi or limousine.
By Automobile
Take Interstate 16 East to Savannah. Do not exit. Follow the I-16 ramp onto Montgomery Street. Get into the right lane and proceed to the second light. Turn right at Oglethorpe Avenue. The Birthplace is four blocks east on the corner of Bull Street and Oglethorpe Avenue. Click for a map!
Public Parking
The Juliette Low Birthplace is located in the middle of the Historic District. Street parking may be difficult find. The museum has two one hour parking spaces and one accessible metered space on the Bull Street side of the house which may or may not be available at the time of your visit. Parking at meters is available in the area and in nearby public parking garages. We recommend parking in the Liberty Street Garage at the corner of Montgomery and Liberty, 301 West Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401 (walking directions) or the Ellis Square and Whitaker Street Garage, 7 Whitaker Street, Savannah, GA 31401 (walking directions). Public Transportation
Travel around the greater Savannah area by CAT bus or in the historic district on the DOT shuttle and transportation system.The closest CAT bus stop is located on the west corner of Bull Street and Oglethorpe Avenue. Currently the free downtown shuttle stops by the side of the Birthplace on Bull Street and the DOT stops at Whitaker and State Street.
